Wellbeing Support

Supporting Wellbeing at Olive Tree Cancer Support
At Olive Tree Cancer Support, we understand that cancer affects more than just the body. Emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing are all deeply connected, which is why we offer a wide range of supportive wellbeing activities designed to help people living with cancer feel calmer, stronger, and more supported.
Our wellbeing services provide gentle, welcoming spaces where you can relax, connect with others, and explore activities that nurture both mind and body.

Mindfulness
We offer a series of mindfulness workshops, repeated throughout the year, which introduce and encourage the use of mindfulness as a different way of engaging with life around us.
Mindfulness can help reduce stress, manage anxiety, and support emotional resilience by encouraging awareness of the present moment. These workshops are suitable for beginners and those with prior experience, and are delivered in a supportive, understanding environment.
Drop-in Sessions
Sometimes, the most valuable support is simply a friendly face and a listening ear. Our drop-in sessions are relaxed and informal — a chance to pop in for a chat and a cuppa, meet others who understand, or just enjoy a moment of calm.
Crawley Centre:
Last Wednesday of every month, 11.30 am – 1.30 pm
Horsham Centre:
Last Friday of every month, 12.15 pm – 2.15 pm
No booking is required for drop-in sessions.
Wednesday Workshops
Usually held monthly, our Wednesday Workshops offer a varied programme of interesting talks and wellbeing activities that are open to all members.
Topics may include creative sessions, self-care, relaxation techniques, or informative talks related to living well with cancer. Workshop details are advertised on our social media platforms and in The Olive Tree Times. All workshops need to be booked in advance.
Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapy can help to gently strengthen the immune system, improve flexibility, and encourage inner healing. It is a holistic approach that supports harmony and balance on physical, emotional, and mental levels.
Our yoga sessions are adapted to be suitable for people affected by cancer and are delivered by experienced instructors in a calm and supportive setting. Sessions need to be booked in advance
