We offer EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to clients as part of the Centre’s holistic approach to care. All therapists are fully qualified members of a Professional Body.
EFT is a simple and effective therapeutic tool, sometimes known as "emotional acupuncture”.
Properly applied, EFT quickly realigns the energy system with respect to negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attached to them, and quite often removes the resulting symptoms.
EFT has been described as a kind of psychological acupressure, acupuncture without needles. It involves focusing on the memory while tapping on specific points on the meridians.
Energy psychology shows how to stimulate specific points on the skin that will send electromagnetic signals directly to the brain. If, at the same time, we hold in our mind a situation that triggers an unwanted emotional response, we can actually shift our brain’s response to that situation.
EFT uses energy psychology to apply principles and techniques for working with the body’s physical energies to facilitate desired changes in emotions, thoughts and behavior.
No matter how devoted we are to a proper diet and lifestyle, we will not achieve our body's ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in our way.
Emotional health is absolutely essential to our physical health and healing.
Negative emotional experiences disrupt the energy systems, or meridians, that run through our body.
EFT can help overcome unwanted emotions such as fear, guilt, shame, jealousy, or anger; and change unwanted habits and behavior, enhancing our ability to achieve our potential.
Initially members may book 4 free sessions of EFT or 4 sessions of a combination of therapies.
Following these we would respectfully request that, circumstances allowing, members make a minimum donation of £5.00 per session. This may be made at the time of booking or on the day, prior to receiving a treatment.
We would suggest that treatments should be at least 1 week apart and not less than 24 hours following clinical treatment of any kind.
All therapy sessions take place in our dedicated therapy rooms at the Centre.
We have adjustable couches which can be lowered to assist those with mobility difficulties. They can also be adjusted to a semi-sitting position for those who prefer not to lie flat. Please discuss this with your therapist.
All sessions are booked through the manager or an appointed volunteer. You can book in person, by telephone on 01293 534465 or by e-mail.
